Cookie Policy
Last updated: 31/10/2026
Short version: this site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies, and nothing on it follows you to other websites. The two optional extras, anonymous visit counts and marking new galleries, only happen if you say yes when you first arrive. You can change your answer below at any time.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website can store on your device to remember information. Some are essential for a site to work properly; others exist to track visitors for advertising or analytics, which is what most cookie consent banners are actually about.
What this site uses
- No advertising or analytics cookies. We don't run Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, or any similar tracking tool.
- Anonymous visit counts, only if you agree. When a page loads, the site sends one short note saying which page it was, which gallery or driver if any, and what kind of site you came from (for example Facebook or Google, never the full address). Downloads and shares are counted the same way. Nothing in it identifies you: no cookie, no ID, and your IP address isn't stored. The notes are added up into totals and deleted after 90 days. Visits aren't counted at all if your browser is set to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
- No cross-site tracking. Nothing on this site follows you to other websites.
- Nothing from Google. We use Google Search Console to see how the site does in Google Search, but it works from Google's own search figures. It adds no cookies, scripts or tags to this site, and the site's fonts are served from the site itself, not from Google.
- Settings saved on your device when you ask. If you use the light/dark theme button, we remember your choice. If you close an announcement banner at the top of the site, we remember which one, so it doesn't keep coming back.
- Which galleries you've already seen, only if you agree. To mark galleries that are new since your last visit, your browser keeps a list of the galleries and how many photos each had. It's just gallery names and numbers, nothing about you.
- Your answer. Your browser remembers what you chose in the cookie question, so it isn't asked on every page.
- All of these stay in your browser and are never sent to us or anyone else. You can clear them any time by clearing your browser's site data, or switch them off below.
- One strictly necessary exception: signed-in accounts. If you log in, whether that's the site owner adding galleries in the admin panel or a driver signed in on My Photos, our login provider (Netlify Identity) uses a session token to keep that login active. This only applies while you're signed in, not to visitors browsing the public site, and it's exempt from needing consent under UK cookie law (PECR) because it's strictly necessary for that feature to work at all.
Your choices
These are the same choices you were asked about when you arrived, and they apply to this browser on this device. You can also reopen the question from “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page.
“New” markers on galleries
Remember which galleries this browser has seen, so new ones are marked.
Count my visits
Include this browser's page views in the anonymous totals.
Do we need your consent?
We ask. Nothing optional happens until you've answered: before that, your visit isn't counted and nothing is saved on your device. “Reject all” is as easy as “Accept all”, and saying no doesn't change anything else on the site. The only things that run without asking are the ones the site needs, or that you ask for yourself: remembering your answer, your light or dark choice, a closed announcement, and the sign-in for My Photos.
